Founder and CEOSara Haines

Sara Haines is the owner and founder of Cultivate Solutions, LLC, which is a leadership training and consulting firm working with organizations that want to invest in the engagement of their team.

Sara founded Cultivate Solutions because throughout her career, she has always cared deeply about purpose-driven and authentic leadership, employee development, and engagement. Over the years, she has crafted and honed the organizational and relational skills to help people manage effectively so their staff can thrive individually and as a team.

During Sara’s 20+ years’ experience of project and program management for facilities construction and engineering, she developed a passion for building positive corporate culture and investing in the success and well-being of her teams. She translated that passion into an internally-focused corporate role of Sr. Director of Culture and Engagement at Markon Solutions, where she worked for many years.

In Sara’s role as Director of Culture and Engagement, she created and drove internal programs and communications to sustain the organizational culture and ensure the company’s unique employee experience. As a member of the Leadership Team, she was responsible for driving thought leadership, strategic direction, and implementation of companywide culture and engagement initiatives.

After helping dozens of teams create sustainable and supportive cultures, Sara remains committed to her clients’ success and well-being with an authentic partnership of deeper connections, whole-hearted acceptance, and genuine celebration.

Sara holds a Masters of Project Management from George Washington University, is a Project Management Institute (PMI)-certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and recently completed the Georgetown University Executive Certificate Program for Leadership Coaching. She is a proud board member of ATHENA International and a volunteer coach with The Honor Foundation.

As a mom of two (Katie Rose and Harrison), Sara loves spending time outdoors hiking or running, and she often finds herself daydreaming of beach days with white sand and nice, clear water.

Why I Do This

In today’s dynamic professional, political, and cultural settings, organizations face a profound “development gap” between traditional leadership approaches and the evolving demands of the environment. No longer is technical expertise alone adequate for effective leadership. This shifting landscape necessitates innovative thinking and adaptive skills.

At Cultivate, we are dedicated to cultivating the leadership potential within organizations. Our mission is to empower corporate leaders to navigate complexity with clarity, drive, and purpose.

Through our tailored services, we partner with organizations to develop actionable strategies that foster growth, drive results, and nurture a culture of engagement. Together, we transform challenges into opportunities, empowering leaders to lead with resilience and impact in today’s ever-changing world.
